So my first attempt to make Bolu Kukus was a weird one. In a way it did rised and "broke" (I don't know how to explain it) but not in the uniform way that it is known for. I've browsed around and stumbled upon lots of Indonesian cooking blogs and most of them said that it's a hit & miss, trial & error kinda thing.
This one for sure was a hit & miss. Lots of learning to do.
Inspiration to never quit!
